Noelle Lopez
Hello, I'm Noelle Lopez, a marketer, e-commerce leader, and Pilates instructor from Portland, Oregon. I have loved Pilates for over 20 years but got re-introduced to it in 2021 after chronic hip pain. My practice healed the pain and led me to a decision to teach. My motivation for teaching comes from a passion to keep people moving as they age so they can enjoy life. This hits close to home as I watched my parents struggle with many illnesses including a massive stroke.Helping my clients keep moving, get stronger, and improve balance and mobility brings me true joy. I also love the connection I get to build with each of them. As a newer member to the PMA, I vividly remember my first interactions with the alliance and the questions I had as I interacted. From my decades of work with consumers in the apparel and wellness industries, I have many ideas for engaging members, surfacing the work that is done behind the scenes, and growing awareness of events and opportunities for connection. I have worked with Balanced Body's marketing team and with instructors Ana Caban from the Classical side and Erika Quest from the contemporary side on projects for Balanced Body. I am excited to keep learning, meet more of you, and strengthen the community of the PMA.

Angela Niemeyer
I bring a unique combination of Pilates expertise, executive leadership, and community service to my candidacy. I am the Owner of Toluca Lake Pilates (TLP), where I lead programming, mentorship, and community partnerships. I previously owned Pilates Loves You and hold a 500-hour comprehensive Pilates certification. Before Pilates, I spent nearly two decades in media and brand marketing, serving in senior leadership roles including SVP of Sales & Marketing (BIG Outdoor), West Coast Sales Manager (Centro), Multi-Media Sales Manager (ESPN), and Brand Manager (Disney). These experiences sharpened my skills in strategy, communications, and partnership development—skills I now apply to advancing the Pilates profession.
At TLP, I lead instructors and staff, manage operations, and design programming that balances sustainability with client care. I also launched Strongish™, a 12-week teen program building resilience and confidence, coordinating instructors, parents, and studio resources. Beyond my studio, I have been active in community leadership and nonprofit service. Since 2014, I have served as an Advisory Board Member for BraveLove, a Dallas-based nonprofit honoring birth mothers through adoption advocacy. Locally, I revitalized the Toluca Lake Holiday Parade as Board President, transforming a 40-year tradition into a 501(c)(3) that now supports Penny Lane Centers with an annual mobile essentials drive for foster youth aging out. I have also served on the Toluca Lake Homeowners Association Board, co-chaired my children’s school Parents Association, and contributed as a volunteer and fundraiser for more than 12 years. Currently, I serve on the TLHOA Turkey Trot ’25 Committee and am launching the Toluca Lake Wellness Collective, a finish-line experiential campaign uniting local wellness brands.
Through these experiences, I have honed skills essential to board service: strategic planning, governance, community engagement, fundraising, and advocacy. My interest in serving stems from both passion for Pilates and a clear view of where the industry is headed. The market is growing rapidly, yet comprehensively trained instructors are not keeping pace—a challenge for studio owners, clients, and the integrity of the profession. Since the pandemic, shorter reformer-only certifications have surged, often bypassing the depth of Joseph Pilates’ full repertoire. While they meet demand, these programs leave instructors less prepared to serve diverse populations safely and confidently. This trend impacts hiring and, more importantly, the long-term quality and accessibility of Pilates. I have faced this challenge firsthand when hiring for my studio, which shaped my commitment to grow the next generation of well-trained, high-caliber instructors. Serving on the PMA Board is a natural extension of that mission. The PMA is recognized for its dedication to education and standards, and I would be honored to contribute my leadership, community experience, and business perspective to support growth, expand access to comprehensive training, and ensure Pilates continues to evolve as a safe, inclusive, and impactful practice.
