Elizabeth Anderson
Executive Director

Elizabeth joined the PMA in mid-2007, after a transatlantic move from London where she’d lived for the previous 17 years. Prior to the PMA, Elizabeth worked in the UK Pilates industry for 6 years. Elizabeth was voted onto the PMA’s Board of Directors in November 2006. She was the founder of the UK’s Polestar Pilates company, as well as her own Pilates Umbrella Ltd., a continuing education company for Pilates practitioners which she still manages with the help of UK colleagues. Elizabeth promoted the work of the PMA in the UK starting in 2004. Elizabeth became involved with the Pilates industry through her work in organizing international conferences in the dance medicine world, primarily for IADMS as well as for Dance UK. Prior to her work in Pilates, Elizabeth spent over twenty-five years as a performing arts producer and manager. Elizabeth is an avid dance-goer, a real estate investor, and returns to London at least every six months to make sure everything’s where she left it.
